NexConnect by NexCard
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: 29 August 2026
Who we are
NexConnect is the professional networking app connected to NexCard digital visiting cards. This policy covers the NexConnect Android app and the NexCard website.
Data we collect
- Account data such as your name, email address, username, profile photo, Firebase user ID, and sign-in information.
- Profile and card data you provide, including bio, skills, work details, contact links, portfolio, services, gallery, and payment information you choose to publish on your card.
- Content and social activity, including posts, images, comments, likes, stories, connections, vouches, messages, blocks, and safety reports.
- Approximate or precise location only when you enable Nearby Radar. A live beacon expires within six hours and can be turned off sooner.
- Basic technical and usage data needed for security, troubleshooting, service operation, and profile-view counts.
How we use data
We use data to create and display your card, operate search and networking features, deliver messages and uploads, prevent abuse, investigate reports, secure accounts, provide support, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal data.
Visibility and your choices
Your public NexCard link can be viewed by anyone who has it. Details you publish there are public. NexConnect discovery is off by default; enabling “Visible in Discover” allows your profile to appear in in-app search and suggestions. A shared six-digit code can also reveal the matching profile only after all six digits are entered. Posts, comments, stories, vouches, and presence are visible to signed-in users as described in the app. Messages and connection requests are limited to their participants.
You can edit profile fields, turn discovery and presence off, block users, report users or content, and delete your account from Settings.
Service providers and disclosure
We use service providers to run the product, including Google Firebase for authentication and database services, Cloudinary for media hosting, Vercel for website and API hosting, and Google services when you choose Google sign-in. They process data to provide those services. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users, or during a business transfer.
Retention and deletion
We retain account data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Stories and Nearby Radar beacons have short in-product expiry periods. Safety, legal, fraud-prevention, backup, and transaction records may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required. Account deletion removes your account, profiles, authored posts and comments, conversations, connections, stories, presence, vouches, reports linked to the account, and hosted media from active systems. Some content sent to another user may remain in their records or backups for a limited period.
Delete in the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account, or use our external deletion page.
Security, children, and changes
We use access controls, authenticated requests, and service-provider security features, but no online system is completely secure. NexConnect is not intended for children under 18. We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
